About

Meet Michelle, owner of The Divine Catalyst.

I spent the majority of my life intrigued by interpersonal relationships with a very strong passion for Psychology and Sociology. I attained my degree from the University of Central Florida in 2008 majoring in those areas. I married my High School sweetheart that year as well and we started our family right away.  For a while I was unsure how I could be of service to others at the same time as myself. Four years later I pursued personal development blogging as a way to be productive, independent, creative, and to share with anyone who cares the tidbits of my journey.  I have since published a few articles with Thought Catalog.

After a series of spiritual awakenings over the years and then ultimately during COVID-19, the healer in my birth chart was called to resurrect my personal development blog “Anything but Ordinary” from 2012-2017. From 2017-2020 I had another baby, started an online store and design business, and became a Certified Interior Designer. My life has never been simple; rich with complexities and yearning for amazing experiences and adventure. Prior to 2017, I was a stay at home mom, learning how to build my own website, studying holistic medicine, nutrition, reading books, picking up skills in many areas of my life from cooking/baking, to learning the stock market. I have a love of style and a zest for life so naturally I pour passion into everything that I do and into people I come across. Every accomplishment taught me something and developed me further into who I was meant to be and in turn changed those around me. I was engulfed with my role as wife, and mother of three at the time to see the effect I had on others until I began seeing patterns in my relationships. It was then I knew that I was a catalyst of sorts and that it was a gift that I was meant to inspire and help others. Alchemy has been my theme since my experience with a brutal divorce in 2023.

I continue to study every single chance I get. I am a part time activities therapist on a crisis management psych unit for a mental health hospital. I teach coping skills, and psycho education in group therapy. I also work full time as a social worker/care coordinator/assistant social services director in a skilled nursing facility. I facilitate grief support and caregiver support groups. I am currently studying at Liberty University for Licensure in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When I’m not tending to the needs of my family or catching up on sleep, my time is spent multi-tasking between learning something new, dreaming new dreams, enjoying Memes on FB, and more personal development. If you asked me before this year where do I see myself in 5 years, I would’ve had a detailed itinerary for you. Now I will tell you this… I hope my business will be thriving but I’m open to the adventure of discovering what awaits me and I hope to keep sharing my journey to find my soul family and mission oriented friends. “My destination is no longer a place, rather a whole new way of seeing.” As a visionary; I believe we are forging A New Earth. I feel deeply connected to the earth for reasons unknown. Ancestrally speaking, I have lineage originating from India, Ireland, England, France, and Africa. Intuitively, I feel a connection to Spain, Egypt, Scotland and Indigenous peoples/Native Americans. As we make deeper connections to the ancestry of our soul we get closer to our highest self. If you feel your spirit resonates with me, reach out!
