Highly Recommended Reading for Spiritual Development:

Now let me start by being very clear… there are a million books for personal-spiritual development. The Spiritual community can sometimes be judge-y from the groups I’ve been in so I had to make that disclaimer in the age of “let’s preach tolerance and have none”. I’m merely suggesting the 1’s that helped me personally and sets a tone for a WIDE-VARIETY of demographics and audiences. As I continue to fine tune this blog, I’ll eventually include my recommendations for cross cultural references well-suited for different origins such as African American, Christian or Hindu religions, and esoteric knowledge. We will soon discover eventually… that I AM You, and You Are Me…. Labels will no longer matter, only ONENESS, and unity in consciousness. If you have books that have helped you in your journey leave them in the comments below for us to check out!

  1. The first book/documentary as a newbie to harnessing your mind-body-spirit connection I would say is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It changed my life as early as Oct 2007 and dug me out of a serious depression. It’s the basis for my abilities and success.

2. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. This next book I have a loss of words for. As you go through your own awakening you’ll realize the only experience that makes sense is your own, and that no two awakenings are the same. I’d rather not muddy the book for anyone. Read it and draw your own conclusions.

3. YOU are a BADASS: How to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life by Jen Sincero. I read this book this year and every time I fell off track, I went back and saw how I got lost again. It goes straight to the point, easy to read, won’t bore you to death but smack you in the face with facts.

4. A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. This is my most current read, I’m not done yet but I’m already impressed. Check out the contents if you can. Read the reviews. This will help you with your ego, we all have one.

5. Chakra Healing by Margarita Alcantara. This was the fastest and easiest read for a busy person as myself to learning about Chakras and having a guide for the crystals to quick reference.

6. Crystal Therapy: How to Heal and Empower Your Life with Crystal Energy by Doreen Virtue and Judith Lukomski Now this is where I took a turn, all our paths and purposes are not the same. As recommended by a friend who said I had to accept all parts of myself; I had to accept the claircognizant that I am. For years I stifled my inner calling to mysticism when I would know things before them happening. My friend said I needed to choose a deck I was drawn to and from there I began working with oracle cards. The author of the book/various decks has denounced her work and has since went to Christianity but as some people would think it means her methods/products are useless; they’re far from correct. I believe she served her purpose and helped people find their paths in spirituality and is entitled to do whatever she chooses to pursue. We’re all free sovereign beings and able to evolve as we choose to or see fit. That is the beauty of life. Nobody stays the same. This book is helpful in working with crystals.

7. The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. This story is a whirlwind of emotions, some of the story feels far fetched but the other parts speak to the inner wisdom we carry in our souls. There are many ah-ha moments in this book which provoke your logic and take you back to situations in your past.
